Starting from Fern Hollow, the group proceeded through the mouth of Taylor's canyon to the rocky slopes on the north side of the canyon. Here they followed the rocky ledges, picking up en route first-clasunburns. Then they descended into a gulley to Maians Heights and followed mountain stream for some dis tance. At this point the group divided, half of them going with Miss Smith to the flag pole at Mt Ogden, and the other half following Miss Sander around the timber slopes and down Malan peak through Tay lor's canyon. Miss Smith took her group down the snowy route through Wheeler canyon. After a rest, the hikers will take an easy walking trip.
