Charlie: ...I’m in favor of cranking down. Now I’ve seen Tizzy’s operation, very rarely does anyone show up and their impact is very minimal compared to having a full on neighbor. They Charlie: Tizzy’s was an irritation for me. It happened right across from where I was living. But just to be Town. ‘ Closing Shafer Lane: TC working on getting a legal description of Town boundary so that attorney can continue process necessary to finally closing road. Improvements to firestation for bathrooms and Town office space: Dave offered to coordinate volunteer labor to further the process of providing accomodations at the firehouse. Plans have not yet been drawn up concerning how this might be done. Any expansion for bathrooms or office space would have to be to the outside of the building since four firetrucks are now stored inside the vehicle room. The next Town meeting was set for honest looking at over the past six months..?..but now that I’ve moved away. Valli: Now that it’s not next door it doesn’t bother you. have a resident caretaker so in effect it’s operating as a B&B. {Valliz illegally} VOTE: I’m in favor of crimping down because I admit that four bedrooms can have an impact. My fear is that if the ordinance Valli and Jayne voted to is passed as it stands, it will not be revisited. I would much rather that we put our energies into the problems of enforcement and saturation rather than get rid of B&B’s. Charlie and Dave voted to allow more B&B’s. The tie vote means more B&B’s are allowed. prohibit more B&B’s. Jayne: For as long as I’ve been public hearings for two other proposed involved with the Town we’ ve been re— KZMU RADIO STATION changes to the zoning ordinance. One change would require notification of neighbors as part of the application hashing the same darn issues. We’re process for conditional uses (including home and premise occupations). The second change seems to remove any knocking your head against the wall, because here we are again with these issues. Honest to God, it’s like ordinances and here we are banging our heads again. ...I would feel better having a saturation idea around B&B’s before we really let it rip. People who do not live here do not necessarily think of the place in the same way. Charlie: Nor do some of the people who live here. People are people. I’ ve known honorable tourists who have come in and honored everything they do and are very careful not to offend anybody. And I know people who live here who throw cigarette butts out on the road. Valli: Tizzy’s would be a lot more successful if they were legal, because they have had to be very low key in what they do. They don’t have a business license, they’re very, very illegal.
