The show will be presented by the students of the BYU University. The program will be held at the Kearns Jr. High School Friday, November 20th at 8 p.m. Tickets will go on sale October 19th. These may be purchased from any member of the JCs or Jaycettes, and at various business establishments in Kearns and Salt Lake City. Admission will be $1.00 for adults and 50c for students under 16. The program will be of the same type as that held at the Murray Armory last year, but will be an even better show. It is being brought to Kearns this year for the benefit of the citizens of Kearns and the surrounding areas. General chairmen or the program are Mr. Edwin Castillo and Mr. Darr Harward. Publicity chairman are Mr. Bob Harrison and Mr. Gerald Lindhardt. "Ticket sales are under the direction of Mr. Gene Andrews and Mr. Skip Foil. Door prizes will be presented and a bonus gift present for every wo tickets purchased as long as they last. Harward, Thursday, October 15th in the form of a joint dinner meeting of the Jaycettes and the JCs. This is a fund raising project of the State JCs. Redwood Road Saturday morning, requesting the key to the restroom. As - the station - attendant, Mr, Reuben Valenzuela, 30, 58 W. 6100 South, reached for the key, the assailant shoved ' a snub nosed revolver in the attendants back stat Dont give ing, This is a stick-ume any trouble. $24.00 in checks and $78.00 in currency was taken from the cash drawer in the station. Then the bandit took the attendant outside of the station to the cash box' by the gas pumps where he obtained about $32.00 more. He then forced Mr. Valenzuela into a back room of the service station where he slugged him on the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. Upon regaining consciousness, Mr. Valenzuela called the County Sheriffs office and reported the robbery. The victim stated that he did not know how long he had been out. He said the bandit was very calm, and never used any rough language. Mr. Valenzuela stated that he had leased the station in July. p. GRANGER Some forty students were transfered from the Monroe Elementary School last week to the Granger Elementary School to) relieve an over load burden at Monroe. Twenty 5th grade boys and girls, and twenty-thre- e 6th grade boys and girls found themselves in new rooms with new children to get acquainted with. Eighteen students will be taken from the classrooms of the Granger Elementary School and put with the new students to make up two full classrooms. The two new teachers are Mr. Bill Johnson, a former teacher and Roy Mackay took it over from there. Mrs Viola Smith Dies of Heart Ailment TAYLORSVILLE Hudson Smith, 66, 4920 So. wood Road, died Saturday, at 7:10 m., in a Salt Lake hospital, of a heart ailment. She was born May Ground, Ky., to , 1893, Stamping Hudson. She Thomas Mrs. Mr. and Smith Charles married Sydney April 16, 1914 in Frankfort, Ind. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Saints. Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Sur-1945. in to Utah They came vivors include her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Heber B. (Corinne) Barker and Mrs. Lowell W. (Marjorie) Wilson, both of Apia, Upolo, a Samoa; four grandchildren; brother and a sister. The funeral was held Tuesday, at 1 p.m., in the Taylorsville Second LDS Ward Chapel. Bishop Richard Lindsay officiated. Mr. Cy Holmes, principal of the Granger Elementary School, welcomed two new teachers to the school and four of the forty students that transfered from Monroe School. The morning the new students arrived at the Granger Elementary, was truely a busy one. The problem of securing enough books and other various needs for the new students jy a school that are already burdened by the lack of enough acilities for their students, may lave given a few members of the acuity some gray hairs that front row, David Holfman, 6th grade; Carol Ball, 5th grade; Sherry Stubstad, 5th grade, and Douglas Christensen, 6th grade.
