OFFBOEBS The Smithfield Kiwanis club i held installation ceremonies for new officers in connection with ladies' night Thursday, January 2, in the Smithfield Junior high school. Dinner was served at 7 p.m., followed by the installation of officers. Those who took office of-fice are: C. R. Nelson, president; Leo Nelson, first vice-president; J. C. Perkins, second vice-president; J. C. Goff, secretary; H. O. Van Orden, treasurer; Phil Liggett, Lig-gett, one-year director, and H. 0 Van Orden, two.year director. Dr. G. L. Reese was the principal prin-cipal speaker, Lynn Hodges of Logan conducted the .singing accompanied by Eldon Hansen on the piano. -Herry Fern rendered two solos oo the piano accordlau New members admitted io the club were Clayton Raymond, G. !j, Myers, and Cliff Porter. 1 L E Nelson of Logan, lieuten-' lieuten-' ant' governor of the Utah-Idaho j j district, installed the new officers. |
