It is being held July 16 at Liberty Park, 7512 21st Street in Ogden. The Weber County Alumni office is asking local car enthusiasts to show off their cars or trucks to raise scholarship money for deserving stu- entry. The 4-11 Chefs and Barlow’ Navajo Tacos will be offering wonderful breakfasts and lunches. Local talent, including a magician for the kids, a one-man band, and many more entertainers, arranged for by Meredith Ashton, Aggie Alum, will entertain us throughout the show along with your favorite dents who would like to attend Utah State oldies tunes. University. A college education is invaluable and we want to give students from Utah support by generating funds for scholarships. All funds raised will be matched by Utah State University. Car entry fees are $15 for each car or truck ($20 the day of the show), and includes dash plaque, Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo tickets, famous Aggie ice cream, and an Aggie T-shirt for the first 100 pre-registered entrants. Car entry is at 9:00 a.m. on July 16. It was while he was tioned in the Austrian Alps that he found himself drawn to fine art, as the landscape inspired him to learn to paint. Later Shrum had the opportunity to study painting in Chicago, and later studied under Irene Bulf. Shrum currently lives in Ogden, sur- Library rounded by his family. He is also member of the Palette Club of Ogden, where he enjoys the great educational experiences they offer and the supportive camaraderie Shrum works primarily in acrylics, and prefers realism, painting landscapes, still life, florals, and wildlife; with forays into modern, geometrical patterns. Though Shrum began selling his painting with hopes of selling only a few, his work has found an audience, and each new exhibition of his art brings new fans. For more information, please call the library 745-2220 Ogden Off-Road Triathlon—USA Nissan Xterra Points Series Race is Back After organizing the most popular inaugural Nissan Xterra Points Series race in the United States last year, the Greater Ogden Athletic Legacy (GOAL) Foundation is preparing for an even more highly attended Ogden Off-Road Triathlon on Saturday June 25, 2005 Last year’s inaugural event easily filled to its racer cap of 225, and organizers have obtained sanctioning and permits for an addiional 125 racers in 2005.
