Musical numbers were furnished by a mixed quartett, a splendid., number, "Whispering Hope" rendered by Mrs. Lucy White and Mrs. . McGregor of Beaver. The speakers were: Watkin Rees and Fred T, Gunn, and formerly of Adamsville, Pres. Joseph F. McGregor who told of the life and character of the departed. The benediction was by James A. Eyre. A large cortege of relatives and friends from Adamsville, Beaver, Green ville, Minersville, and Milford accompanied the body to the Mountain View cemetery, Beaver City, where the dedicatory pray er was offered by Chase Mur-dock. "Grandma Griffiths," as she was lovingly called by all who knew her, has lived a life worthy of emulation. She was, born Jan. 13th 1834 at Cardigaurshire South Wales. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in her native country. Sailed from Liverpool, England March 1st 1866, crossed the plains by team having to walk' most of the way, arriving in Utah Oct settled in Uhi, Utah, 1866, where her husband died in 1875. She moved with her family to Adamsville, Utah, arriving Dec 9th, 1875, where she continued to reside until her death March 25 1922., She was the mother of eleven children, five of whom are still alive, they are Margaret Pearce, Sarah A. Jones, J. U. Griffiths, Kate E. Joseph, of Adamsville, and Thos. L Griffiths of Beaver who filled a mission to South Africa. Twenty eight grand children, two of which filled forthree great eign missions, forty ' grand ''children; two of which are on missions at the present time, and one great great grand child living. .
