Show BAILEYS HONORED BY MANY FRIENDS Three very important social events were given this week in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Art Bailey. Monday evening a very elaborate banquet was given Mr. Bailey at tho Milford Hotel by the following gentlemen: gen-tlemen: Messrs. H. T. Hanks, Geo. Jefferson, Shirley S. Atkin, L. D. Brooks. Dr.. Adkins, E. H. Street, Mr. Hufbrauer, E. Burnham, Hal Stephens, Ste-phens, I. L. Quirk ana Ralph Lemon. The evening was very cleverly spent and the banquet was a superb feast. Many witty and eloquent toasts were given which showed the high esteem and real worth of Mr. Bailey to his circle of friends. , Wednesday afternoon a luncheon was given Mrs. Bailey by Mrs. H. I. Wooley and Miss Helen Palmer at the residence of Mrs. Wooley. The place cards at the table were beautiful beauti-ful corsage bouquets of spring violets vio-lets tied daintily with lemon tulle satin ribbon. The luncheon table was beautiful with an array of cut glass, silver and choice china. The centerpiece was a large bouquet of yellow daffodils. The guests were Mrs. Pearl V. French, Mrs. George Atkin, Mrs. Garratt Wilkin, Mrs. Sloan, Mrs. L. D. Brooks and the guest of honor Mrs. Bailey. Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Brooks gave a very enoyable dancing party in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bailey at their farm house. |
