Is I -'V-.. ! i - ; MISS LOUISE WEST Louise West Plans Temple Wedding For April 20 with Ammon Lindsev Announcement has been made of the forthcoming marriage of Dahlia Louise West and Ammon lindsey of Columbia, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 20. Announcement was made by the bride-elect's parent's, Mr. and Mrs. Loren M. West. Mr. and Mrs. James Lindsey of Wellington Welling-ton are parents of the benedict-to-be. Immediately following the ceremony cere-mony the couple will leave for a honeymoon in Las Vegas and California, after which they will cmake their home in Columbia, Carbon County. The popular bride-to-be is a graduate of the Pleasant Grove High School and Timpanogos iStake Seminary and has attended the Henager School of Business in Salt Lake City. For the past five years she has a held a position posi-tion with thte National Bever-idge Bever-idge Inc., in Salt Lake City. She filled an LDS mission in California Cali-fornia prior to that time. Mr. Lindsey is employed as a foreman at the Columbia Cool Mines and is currently sea-ving as a member of the Columbia Branch Presidency. The future Mrs. Lindsey has been the center of much social attention recently. On March 13 a shower was given by Mrs. Earl Barr and Mrs. Marian Patterson of Salt Lake City. It was held at the home of Mrs. Barr and a host of friends enjoyed games and tasty refreshments. Many lovely gifts were opened with muoh merriment and gaiety. On March 25 an outstanding event for the bride-to-be was sponsored by the Special Interest class and officers of the MIA of the North Eighth Ward in Salt Lake City. Miss West has been the class teacher for the past four and a half years. Thirty-two members and officers offic-ers presented her with a beautiful quilt and rug. She also received a tribute from the class in the form of a scrapbook in which each one had contributed an original or-iginal page with their signature. A tasty pot luck supper was enjoyed and a program created by many members of the class, will be long remembered. April. 9 at the home of Mrs. June Ash in Pleasant Grove, a personal shower for the bride-to-be was given with Mrs. Stanley West of Provo as hostess. Dainty refreshments were enjoyed en-joyed and much fun and laugiiter were created by the games which were appropriate for the occasion. occa-sion. The prizes carried off were given to Mrs. Helen Beck of Al- pine, Mrs. Pearl Mower and Lana Thompson of American Fork and the consolation prize went to Mrs Dahlia Walker. Besides the above mentioned, others present were Mrs. Ruby Warnick, Mrs. Janet Anderson, Mrs. Chloe West, Mrs. Edna Atkinson, At-kinson, Mrs. Ruth Thompson of American Fork, Mrs. Roxie Hol-comb Hol-comb of Provo, Mrs. Laura West, Mrs. Venus Lindsey, LaVee Ash and Mrs. Maxine West. Many beautiful gifts were received. |
