Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bowden from Salt Lake have been recent visitors at the Rae Goodrich and Dennis Goodrich homes. Students home for the holidays are Howard Merrell from the BYU; Sherrie McKee from Ricks College; Lennis McKee from USU; Terry McKee, Trade Tech in Provo and David McKee from College of Southern Utah in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Goodrich were visitors in Salt Lake City Friday. Mrs. James Harvey received word this week that she is a great grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bartlett are the grandparents with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bartlett as the parents of a baby Because of travel conditions worship services were not held Sunday. December 30, at the My ton Community Presbyterian Church. The speaker was unable to drive from Salt take because of road conditions. Services are planned for the regular 11 a.m. worship hour for the first Sunday in January, with a Methodist speaker cowill ming from the Salt take area. Training session to be held by Duchesne Girl Scouts Tuesday, Jan. 8, there will be a training session for Girl Scout leaders and interested mothers. The Sunday school also put on a lovely program Sunday morning with the Jr. Sunday school also taking part. Christmas eve the usual Primary Christmas program was presented with Christmas songs from each of the little classes and the story of the birth of the savior by the older children. Readers for this were Kim Jones and David Curry. Santa then made his appearance and talked personally to each child and gave them all a bag of candy. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Giles held a Christmas party Dec. 24, with 35 in attendance. Lida Jones or Aunt Lid as most of us railed her was another pioneer from our valley. She has paved her way to the other side hy the pillow cases she has done for the Relief Society. So many of our pioneers learned to bo so cheerful, a lesson we rould all learn. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Lee and family returned home Monday evening after a three day visit in Salt take with Mr. and Mrs. Jark Fitzwater and family and Marsha and family from California. They also visited Brent's brothers and sisters in Salt take and Orem. Also Ida Smith. Brent's aunt of American Fork who just moved here from California a few weeks ago. Foster Rhoades has been very ill this fiast week with an eye infection. lie was in Salt take Wednesday to see the doe lor. He is some improved at this time but still a very sick man.
