Show Funeral Held For Martin Baudino Funeral services were held in the Milford L. D. S. chapel Sunday for Martin Baudino, 71, who died June 21 of heart trouble. The services ser-vices were well attended, with Frank Williams of Minersville as the principal speaker. Music was furnished by Henry Lofthouse, a vocal solo by Dan Ferguson, with Mrs. E. L. Smith at the piano and quartet numbers by Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Mrs. Vance Fisher, M J. Christensen and Don J. Chris-tensen. Chris-tensen. The invocation was offered offer-ed by Leonard Banks, the benediction benedic-tion by Bishop Christensen and the grave dedication by Benjamin Duncan, interment taking place in the local cemetery. Martin Baudino was born in Italy May 7, 1867. He came toj America at the age of 19 years, j stayed six years, took out his first j citizenship papers and returned to! Italy to marry his school chum.j Marie Yano. He remained in Italy-six Italy-six months then returned to America and settled in Pennsylvania, Pennsyl-vania, where he worked in the coal mines. About 38 years ago he came to Utah and had been in the state since that time. He located in Newhouse about 33 yars ago,' working in the mines for a number of years, but ill health made it! necessary that he leave the mines.! He started a bakery shop and lat- i er established a homestead in Wah Wah valley, where he re- i gained his health. His wife Marie ; died 13 years ago and a year latei he again took up mining for himself. him-self. A short time afterward he met with an accident at the mine which cost him his right leg. Since then he hail been a familiar figure' on the streets of Milford in his quiet and unobtrusive way. Mr. Baudino is survived by two sons, James and Dan Baudino oi .Milford, ad a daughter, Mrs. Kate Cc-oksley of Superior, Arizona. Eiirht grandchildren and one great-, rrandchild also survive him. He-was He-was the father of five children, two of whom preceded him in death. |
