Noel C -udie applied for a reduction in t. xes for Mr. Noel Coudie on the J. V. Condie property in Winder, upon which the State is foreclosing t: eir mortgage. In view of the p; rtrcular circumstances surround, i: g this application, and it appear-ii:g appear-ii:g to the Board that the County s; ood to lose the entire taxes if t.l.is foreclosure proceeding was not forestalled, it was agreed that the County, would decrease the amount d le by $279.50 providing that the ft reclosure could be forestalled through this reduction. In conformity with Section 30-708 01 the; Idaho Code Annotated, and oilier appurtenant Sections of the Idaho State Law, it being found that the following described property pro-perty is not necessary for the use of Franklin County, it was hereby o.dered that a minimum price of $100.00 be placed upon the said property described as "Commencing "Commenc-ing at a point 35 rods South and 194 feet West of the NoriMeaat corner of Section 27, Township 15 South, Range 39 East of the Boise Meridian, running thence South 45 feet; thence West 85; feet; thence north 45 feet; thence East 85 feet to the; place of beginning." It was ordered that all meals for prisoners be -obtained from Miller's Coffee Shop until further notice. Mr. Dave Buttars made application applica-tion for hospitalization of Mrs. Lyman Ly-man Buttars. The matter was taken under advisement. Georgeson MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FRANKLIN FRANK-LIN COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO, IDA-HO, FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY, 1941. February. 10, 1941. The Hoard of County Commissioners Commis-sioners met this day in regular session ses-sion for the month of February, the Chairman, Henry II. Rawlings; Commissioners Frank Shrives and A. IJ. Nash; and the Clerk, C. L. Swcnson, were present. Mr. Joseph Dunkley applied for an adjustment on taxes, and upon the basis of a. duplicate assessment and a settlement previously made, it was ordered that the delinquent taxes of 19 be cancelled. Mr. Roy Hull applied for an adjustment ad-justment of taxes for the last half of 1910, upon the basis of a previous pre-vious over-assessment and erroneous errone-ous assessment, and upon these 1 basis the cancellation was ordered. After consideration and discussion discus-sion of the matter with the County Slioril'f, E. L. Hansen it was agreed that the Sheriff be allowed $70 per month, for the use of his car in his work as Sheriff of Franklin County. Messrs. J. L. Roe and Dal Roe took up the matter of County printing with the Board and asked that all legal publications of Franklin Frank-lin County be published in the Franklin County Citizen because of the circulation of the said paper being in excess of that of the Clarion, Clar-ion, quoting Supreme court decisions decis-ions in support of their argument. The matter was taken under advisement advise-ment for consideration of the Board and pending advice from (lie County Coun-ty Attorney. Mr. Russel Hansen of the First National Bank of Logan and Mr. Joseph Binggeli applied for a reduction reduc-tion in taxes for Mr. Binggeli. It was reported that Mr. Binggeli's property taxes now amounted to $1,179.30, plus interest of $18G 33. The Board of County Commissioners Commis-sioners met from recess of February Febru-ary 11, 1941, all members present. Messrs. Reuben Taylor and M. M. Deaton met with the Board in regard to an accident which happened hap-pened at Linrose on the County road. The matter was discussed and referred to Commissioner Shrives and the County Attorney for solution. It was agreed that the O-'nty would buy a gravel pit from Mr. Nephi Jensen and that $79.20 would be paid therefor. Mr. Andrew Jensen applied for a reduction of taxes on the tiasis of over-assessment. The application applica-tion was denied. He also discussed discuss-ed the matter of a cattle guard for, the approach to the forest near Weston. It was decided that the county would not participate in this at the present time. Mrs. W. E. Rawlins applied for a reduction in taxes. It was agreed that the interest of $6.07 would be cancelled if full payment of the balance was made immediately. The application of W. G. Palmer for an increase in salary or $10 per month was denied. Mr. W. G. Palmer applied for a cancellation of taxes in behalf of the Franklin Stake of the L.D.S. Church, and there being no taxes assessable against the Church, the cancellation of taxes was ordered, and the necessary orders signed. The minutes were read and ap- S. H. February 11, 1941 The Board of County Commissioners Commis-sioners met from recess of February Febru-ary 10, 1941, all members present. Mr. Bishop Norman asked, for an extension of time on his contract with Franklin County for the purchase pur-chase of tax deed property and was granted an extension of thirty days in which to make full settlement. It was ordered that Mr. Austin Taylor's contract with the County for the purchases of tax deed property pro-perty be terminated, and that notice he made to. Mr. Taylor of the termination ter-mination of his contract. Mr. O. A. Follett asked for a reduction and adjustment of taxes due on his property taxes amounting amount-ing to fl-,684.16, plus interest of $142.39. rt was agreed that one-half one-half of the interest would be cancelled, can-celled, provided the entire amount was settled immediately. Alf Monson asked to purchase tax deed property but after checking check-ing on the matter, it was found that the County did not own the property Mr. Monson wished to purchase. Mr. Fred Jorgensen applied for assistance. It was agreed that one month's rent be guaranteed Mr. Ed ICvans, who owns the property Mr. Jorgensen is renting. The matter of salary for Mr. Murray Mur-ray Mortensen, who is acting as Road Supervisor of Franklin County, Coun-ty, was discussed with him and it was agreed that his salary be set U $135 per month until further notice. Mr. Wallace Johnson discussed I the matter of roads in his( district and was assured of all cooperation possible. Messrs. R. F. Campbell and Wells McEntire discussed the matter mat-ter of the educational defense program pro-gram in Franklin County and explained ex-plained the various phases of the work and upon their recommendation, recommenda-tion, it was agreed that the Countv would rent until, July 1, 1941, proper- quarter for the operation of , this program in Franklin County. Hill met with the Board in regard to a sanitary project for Franklin County. After discussion it was agreed that Franklin County Coun-ty would guarantee the costs of ten units. Mr. J. N.
