Phillips announces his resignation, made effective March 20, 1966, of an appoint ment by the Secretary of Agriculture as a member of the State Advisory Committee to the Farmers Home Administration. Mr. Phillips has been a member of this committee for ten years. At the time of his resignation he held the position of chairman. Membership on this committee is covered by the Hatch Act, barring any political activity while serving.
