Show jjpll Sth Aviation Sqdrn. This week's nrnViM vam Owen Teasley and his crew at the mete hall. For the past three weeks many comments have been passed on the swell meals we have been getting. I doubt though, that these comments have been reaching the ears of those responsible. You Jknow a little praise goes a long way in building morale among soldiers, even those who struggle over hot stoves. Four cooks were recently awarded skilled ratings. They are: Sgts. Windom and Lavalais; and Cpls. Wilson and Evans. Do know we have two expert utchers in the persons of Pvts. A. Barnes and E. Knight? With appreciation for the gastronomlcal pleasures received, even to the K. P.'s, we say to you "Thanks, pals!" ' The 4th platoon Is again gunning for that Saturday inspection award. They have issued a challenge to all other platoons to a do or die effort. They are wondering, if by chance they win it three Saturdays straight, what the possibility is of getting three day passes instead of week-en- d passes. That, my lads, will have to be taken up with the Commanding officer. However, the winning spirit is an admirable trait in any group of men. Pride in one's self is certainly a sign of progress. When we think of the 4th platoon, we are forced to extend congratulations to Cpl Percy J. Stanley on his furlough marriage. My we wish continued and increasing happiness in life to come? oc Announcing the promotions of Raymond Jackson to SSgt; Isaac M. Lewis and Lee Pennington to fellows, and Sgt Congratulations, may your efforts and responsibilities, as applies to the welfare of your men, increase proportionately with your advancement. To have and to hold is a grand feeling, but to have and to hold loosely can be disastrous and demoralizing. The athletic council reports efforts being made to procure a park or grounds for that long awaited picnic. Also, I've been advised that with the retturn of Lt. Siegle, the delayed softball tournamentt will get under way. There certainly should be some exciting games. Till next week. Pfc. G. D. Luebers Reporter dSath Aviation Squadron Congratulations to special service for the fine and elegant USO show that was held in our service club Friday evening. Keep up the good work. Mrs. Agnes Walters is also to be commended for her fine work. There's going to be a bean counting contest at the 'service club in the near future..
