New la tha time to order your NOTICE. ia Utah's flab aud game lau a have been radically levazup.d. After working through in- wh .le aeaaion, those Interested in ttee game of law a met with the Joint cumiui-.tthe houae and acnuie end agreed ou a bill which they thought would be acceptable. When it appeared before the senate it wa far trom acceptable, wa and another Joint conference held to trim up the objeciiuLable corners. It waa dually pasted by the senate. The bill is full of local provisions which exclude certain stream frm the defiling hook of the angler. The barefoot boy with cheek of Ida may fish any u lure in the elate without a licence providing his face has the proper chads of tan, and also pi o tiding that he is under the age of fourteen. Women may fish all the year round without a licence. The license to fish fur residents of the state is fixed at $1. and the license for and aliens is $1'J. There is a radical change ;u the seining provisions. The bill provides that any one may seine for common fish anywhere in the state, providing a fee of $5 is paid, and providing that n deputy game warden be taken along to see that no game fish is reined. The game warden's services must be paid by the fisherman, at the rate of $2 a day. There was a serious object lou to this, and the bill as it came to the senate, left out seining, excepting in certain counties of the state. A delegation of Provo people, sent by the Provo Commercial club, appeared before the committee yesterday morning and insisted upon n prnvirirn for seining. The delegation was composed of Dr. D. II. Calder of the State Mental hospital; James Clove, postmaster; Dr. George H. Hrimball, of lire university, and Georgs IS. Owen, a prominent business man of Provo. It was argued by the committee generally that Provo and othir cities of the state must have cheap Boh, and that seining is the only way to git it. The committee finally agreed to at low the clause providing for seining for common fish but every seine must have the seal of the game warden, to be broken by hint when put In use. Heavy penalties for the breaking of seals are provided. Another important amendment to the bill was the atriklng out of the clause providing for spring shooting in certain localities. This was taken out as a senate amendment, the house having found it unobjectionable. The bill provides that two deur with horns may ba killed in October. The open season for trout starts June 16, and the open season for bass July 15. Senators Rasband and Benner X. Smith were the only ones who cast votes against the measure. OUR SPECI ALTI ES Plane, Funrt-faSafe Moving and Storage, OFFICE 40d Twenty-fift- Street, h PHONES l"d, 224, Bed, 1201 Tuesday evening from 7:30 to S Prof. B. P. Stout, tba tinging evangelist, gave a sermon In aong. An audience, which filled the auditorium of the church, listened most attentively to the following seand responsively -The Holy City." "Face to lections: Face," The Bird with the Broken net wing," "The Old Gothic Church," to the tune of Ben Bolt, "The Blnaer and the Bong." The professor will again, beginning promptly at 7:30 tonight, give a sermon in aong. This service will last until 8 oclock. Rev. Brown's subject last night was the "Power of Memory in This Ufa and tha World to Coma." The sermon was based on the two words, "Son, remember," taken from the Bible account of the rich mon who died and went to hell and the beggar who died and went to heaven. The speaker began by telling of an experience he had In Balt Lake aa ha was passing through the street on the way to Ogden..He said he saw a young man standing before the bar of one of the saloons. This young mans wife waa buried more than two yean ago by tbe speaker. An the young man caught the countenance of the preacher he dropped hie eyes to the floor and showed slgna of sorrow. "He remem' hered, said the speaker. In forceful tones. "He remembered the bride, the wife, the home. He remembered that awful day, tbe day of her death, And wont of all. be remembered that abe was partly the Instrument of her own death. It waa memory at work; it waa memory's picture painted upon his face." Then the speaker most feelingly spoke of the power of memory. He said that Jesus would come into tha presence of the nlnner same day, and that the very presence of the Savior would stir In the memory nil the pow-rrof past sin. "We will remember tbe day He came to ua and plead for our soul; we will remember the hour of affliction when'we promised to surrender to Him and to serve Him, and et we did not We will remember the pleadings .of friends and loved ones, and these memories will sting ns with tbe laeh of eternal and everlasting punishment." After the speaker had dwelt upon memory's power of retention and repetition, he closed the sermon by saying'thnt the experience oftotbebericha roan and the beggar ought warning to everyone present The service was as solemn as death all through. At the close several confessed Christ, among the number a husband and wife. The services will continue over the Sabbcth.
