A large group of Bridgeland parents attended the annual music mu-sic festival presented Friday byl the Myton school. j Mr. and Mrs. Wanless Shields are driving a new studebakerl car; ) Mrs; Myrl Smith and Mrs, Alma Young' attended a. bridnl shower at Neola Friday, honoring honor-ing Mrs,. Helen Allred Winn. Wilma Meyer and her " girl friend, Beth Keel, students at Carbon junior college, spent the week-end with Wilma's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith and family, of Springville. were week-end visitors of their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Alma Smith. M.I.A. officers who attended the M.I.A. four-stake conference Saturday at Vernal were: Mr. and .Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee, Edith Ed-ith and Emmalee Brady, Jane Liddell and Glen VanTassell: ! ' Mr. and Mrs. John Durtchi, Mr. and Mrs. Latorie, of Midway,- called Saturday at the Alma Smith home. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Beal, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Murphy and Austin Beal were called to Salt Lake City during the 'week due to the serious condition of their father, Ray Beal, who has been ill for several weeks. Commencement exercises of the Roosevelt stake seminary class of 1951 was held Sunday evening, with the following students stu-dents from here receiving diplomas: diplo-mas: Nancy- Ann and Nelda Beal, Sherwood Losonbee and Ruth Walters. The following local people attended the beautiful beau-tiful exercises: Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Walters, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beal, Mr. and Mrs. Vere Neilsen, Mr. and Mrs. Shelby .Lisonbee end daughter, Bertie. Bertie Lisonbee, Lu Jean ! Jennings, JaNeal Shelton ' and Edna Neilson '-were overnight guests Tuesday of Sally Shuck-ers Shuck-ers on South Myton Bench. Leon Walters, of Salt Lake City, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Walters. ' Mr. and Mrs.. Alma Smith spent Wednesday at Utahn with relatives. Elder Max Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor, who is laboring lab-oring in North Carolina, is broadcasting his sermons over the radio several times- each week. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Brundage visited here Thursday. Primary conference was held Sunday evening at the Bridge-land Bridge-land ward with Bishop Carl VanTassell presiding and President Presi-dent Vernetta Meyer conducting. The program consisted of parts given by all Primary children. chil-dren. Alvin White, Edna Neilsen and Mrs. Madsen, of the Duchesne Du-chesne stako Primary, attended. |
