Show Indian 'Sacrifice Rock' Found in Pennsylvania FINLEYVTLLE, PA. An Indian "sacrifice rock," pocked with holes apparently used as containers for blood, has been discovered near Saltsburg, along the Kiskiminetas river, by Chief George S. Fisher, of Union Valley, member of the Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania Indian research. Chief Fisher said the rock measured meas-ured eight feet across by 12 inches in thickness and has 76 holes, each of them capable of holding about a quart of blood. He reported also finding in the same vicinity a huge mortar weighing weigh-ing about 60 pounds. The Pennsylvania Indian research has planned a pilgrimage to the site of the find and will take a cast of the rock. |
