High Enjoys Lagoon Friday May 11, the studentbody boarded buses and after a long Seniors Sluff Legally the Last t i SenMonday, May 14, iors enjoyed an outing held at Saratoga. The class left at 9:00 a.m., with Mr. Allman and Coach Dixon the senior advisors. After arriving at the destination, the students were a little hesitant about going in the pool Howbecause of cool weather. ever, almost everyone managed to ' e e k get themselves wet sooner or later. A number of the boys got a thrill out of trying to duck" the Coach but alter the pursued hit dry land, they decided that they didnt want to deal with him. Aside from ducking and swim-ming there was softball and volleyball games going on, along with plenty to eat. At three oclock everyone embarked on the buses and headed back to Provo, ending a very enjoyable day. r t Ih Students Work, Eat, And Play on Y Day school A week ago today, the was out for their final outing of the year, which was Y day. The 3 May 21. 1951 journey reached Lagoon. The weather was quite cool with winds and a high overcast, which consequently meant that lew people went in swimming, although quite a few got their big toes in but that was all. The school got special rates on all the rides except the roller coaster. The rockets were free. After everyones wallet was pietty well emptied, the buses were loaded, ending a perfect day at the Fun Spot of Utah. entire school was divided into their separate classes and given work to do. The girls were washing and doing odd jobs inside the buildings while the boys were outside working on the grounds. After a couple hours of hard work the school departed to North Park where baseball and volleyball games wrere the main activities. After lunch was served the party split into smaller gioups and went to such places as Utah Lake, Saratoga, or to join the Universitys celebration. A fine time was had by all those joining in the different activities. Their loyal support was very much appreciated. The theme.
