Show s.f w w Special Hunting Areas for Deer Are Set The boundaries of the two local lo-cal special deer hunting areas, Parowan and Paragonah, were outlined in detail by the procla-mation procla-mation issued Saturday by the State Board of Big Game Control. Con-trol. The proclamation set dates and numbers to be taken from all special deer hunting areas during the hunting season this fall. The boundaries of the two districts dis-tricts differed slightly from the recommendations of local sportsmen's sports-men's groups, but will make little lit-tle difference in total huntinc; areas. The Parowan unit from which 300 head of antlerless deer will be taken during the regular season, sea-son, Oct. 28 to Nov. 7, has the following boundaries: Beginning at junction of U. S. highway 91 and Little Creek road, thence up Little Creek road to the forks of Horse Valley road, thence south on Horse Valley road to Fork Valley, thence southward along divide to Brianhead, thence westerly west-erly to Sugar Loaf mountain, thfcnce down the south fork of Maple Spring canyon to Cedar canyon, thence down Cedar canyon can-yon to highway 91 at Cedar City, thence north on highway 91 to place of beginning. The Paragonah unit, from which 500 head of antlerless deer will be taken during the same period is described as follows: Beginning at junction of Little Creek road and U. S. highway 91, thence up Little Creek road to the Bear Valley road, thence down the Bear Valley road to the iunction of Bone Hollow rnari and wagon road, thence northeasterly north-easterly along wagon road to Fremont wash, thence down Fremont Fre-mont wash to highway 91, thence south on highway 91 to place of beginning. Permits for hunting on these units as on all open sale areas of the state, will go on sale at 9 a. m., Oct. 2 and will remain on sale until the permits are exhausted ex-hausted or until the season is over. Permits will cost $3.00 each for Utahns and $10 for non residents. resi-dents. Purchasers must also have a regular Utah hunting license li-cense for this year, costing $4 or $5 for residents, or $30 for nonresident. non-resident.
