Show SOUTH BOUNTIFUL PIONEER CALLED BY THE REAPER hannah hogan widow of eric M hogan who died in 1876 and a pioneer of south bountiful since sincel 1802 who was apparently in the best of health died suddenly at her home wednesday evening she had left the home of her son hyrum hogan 0 where she had spent the evening not more than two hours bea before ore the family who reside in a portion of her home heard a strange sound and on investigation found her in an unconscious condition and almost before her son hyrum and family who reside nearby could get there she had expired she wa siale shale and hearty up to the last moment doing her own bous housework making rugs gs and occasionally casio nally weaving carpet she did a great deal of carpet weaving in early days grandma hogan 7 an was born on june 10 1834 in scone sweden at the age age of 21 she joined the church emigrating to utah in 1862 arriving in south bountiful on october 2 of the same year she crossed the atlantic in the humboldt and walked call the plains december of the same year she was married to her late husband five children were born to them hyrum and charles hogan surviving her two sons and one daughter having died of diphtheria about forty years ago when that disease was prevalent and so 0 o malignant she had eleven grandchild rea Fuff funeral erI 8 services e r v lees will be held 4 in taji S OU tb bountiful in meeting house houe ne neak X k sunday at I 1 p ri m |
