This year Shelly ran the first 13.1 miles of the race, beginning at Red Rock Ranch and Outfitters, and finishing up at Eden Park. Her daughter Roseann then continued the race, running five miles to The Oaks restaurant in Ogden Canyon. Shelly’s sister Jolene ran the next five miles from the Oaks to the Eccles Dinosaur Park at the mouth of the Canyon, and her mother Lou Jean ran the last 3.1 miles to the finish line near Municipal Park in Ogden. Shelly said, “Mom did so good. Taking into consideration all of our ailments, we thought it would take much longer to finish the run than it did.” Dinner guests at Red Rock Ranch enjoy good food and beautiful views.
