Show Recreation football — a big hit for weekend athletes by Jake Shewmake staff writer If your life needs a little excitement and you like sports then you should get in touch with Carbon County Recreation They have been running a flag football league on Saturdays and Sundays since October 1 There are six teams who battle it out each weekj having some great games There are awards given each week for the most valuable player and prizes for the first place team Cost is $80 a team Although the games arc there are up to 18 players on some teams A representative from each team went to a meeting before the season started and made die jndes There arc paid referees so the games run smoothly Maid Ahmu said the season has gone great and they are trying to get some exchange games with teams from Utah Valley and Cache Valley The league was ruby Brian Fion a CEU student The next league is basketball There will be a meeting at Moot Harmon Jr High on November 28 at 7:00 pm to discuss
