Show War Spirit Reaches Cedar City. Although Cedar City was rather backward in the furnishing of recruits re-cruits for the army and navy, she is now rapidly making up for lost time. They were Mr. Austin Merryweather, Cordon Hunter and Corlett Simkins; early Sunday morning L'ugene Woodbury and Pratt Tollestrup left in dene's Saxon roadster road-ster to drive through to Salt Lake. Catching the fever from the other I boys who had gone, Lawrence Haslem hurriedly packed his grip and caught the train Sunday, and was the first to be honored with a uniform from Uncle Sam, from Cedar City. The other volunteer to complete the seven is Walter Hanson, who left yesterday to join the navy. |
