Show 1910 MINERAL OUTPUT it is interesting to study the late government report giving the mineral output of utah for the year 1910 and to trace to its source the heaviest output of the precious metals there is not a county in the state that is not mineral bearing some of these predominate in one metal like park city for instance which leads in the states output of lead while it is also near the head in its silver output juab county leads both in gold and silver production and ranks third in lead salt lake is second in gold third in silver second in lead and first in copper the metal output the year totaled for the year 1910 the states output was in gold ounces silver pounds copper pound s lead and pounds of zinc the total ore output out put of the state was tons the largest lar gesti gold output came from f rom juab and salt lake counties as follows juab county salt lake county the largest larg est silver production was credited to the following counties juab ounces summit and wasatch ounces salt lake ounces utah ounces the bulk of the lead production was distributed as follows summit and wasatch pounds salt lake pounds juab pounds utah pounds tooele thoele pounds the greatest output of copper came from bingham in salt lake county while juab was next in line the report shows salt lake pounds juab pounds summit and wasatch pounds box elder pounds deaver beaver pounds the zinc production came principally from beaver summit and wasatch and tooele thoele counties during the year 1911 it is believed the output in all of the leading metals will be much larger than was the case the year before while for the coming year 1912 a greater output than ever before in the history of the state is confidently fi expected as there are a large jarge number of new producers new mines which are getting ready to enter the shipping list |
