Show ail ales! As told to: ELMO FRANK E. .cd SCOTT I HAGAN WATSON When You See a Wimpuss : AWIMPUSS. according to Aus-; tin Butcher, editor of the Al-1 toona (Kan.) Tribune, is a rare animal ani-mal which grows about as big at i a hoogie-bug. but it has a long tall I like a collywop and wings like I j bearcat. It lives in the top of high ! trees, whence It tlics down to at- tack defenseless travelers. How- J ever, no harm is to be feared from wimpuss if you know what to do when you see one coming. j It Is folly to shoot at one, for j wimpuss catches bullets In Its ' teeth and eats them. The only way j to do when one comes at you is to; take a piece of cheese, either Edam or Swiss, and tack it securely on a waterfall. The wimpuss makes; a swoop at the cheese and gets' mixed up with the waterfall and gets Its feet wet. It makes a wimpuss mad as all get-out when he gets his feet wet. So he hunts around for a nice piece of grass to dry them on. The minute min-ute the wimpuss lights on the grass, the hunter rushes at him and ties his tail In a double bow knot. When a wimpuss has his tall tied In a double bow knot he Is gone, because when he flle3 he always ducks hla head under his body to see who Is following him. In doing this he gets his head caught In the double knot and chokes himself to death. |
