Show Rice Heads AAA Program Elections Place Five Farmer Committeemen During Past Week The1 results of the community elections held during the week of November 10 to 15 and the county convention held on Tuesday, November No-vember 18, for the purpose of electing elec-ting 'county committeemen and a county committee, were announced by the Franklin Couniy "Triple A" office today.. The five delegates elected in the communities met at the . county AAA office in convention on Tuesday, Tues-day, November 18, at which time and place the following men were were elected to conduct the affairs of the Franklin County Agricultural Agricultur-al Adjustment Administration for the year 1942. Quince Itice, chairman, Clifton; Leland L. Auger, vice-chairman, Preston; Wilford Stokes, third regular reg-ular member, Franklin; R. W. Ged-des, Ged-des, first alternate, Preston; Leslie Keller second alternate, Mink Creek. Mr. Rice 'is from Community 2 and he is engaged primarily in sugar beet production and livestock live-stock feeding. Mr. Auger elected from Community Com-munity 1 is essentially a wheat grower with some livestock. Farm committeemen who were elected to conduct the "Triple A" program in their respective communities com-munities are as follows: COMMUNITY NO. 1 Chairman, Leland Auger; vice-chairman, vice-chairman, Edis I. Rawlings; regular regu-lar member, John McQueen, Jr.; first alternate, Thomas Stokes; second alternate, R. G. Mrf Stokes from Community No. 2 is a sugar beet grower, wheat grower and dairy man. R. W. Geddes from Community No. 3 is largely a wheat grower, but devotes some acreage to alfalfa alfal-fa seed production. Leslie Keller from Community No. 5 is largely a wheat grower with considerable livestock. These men are all competent, 'successful farmers. They represent 'ali parts of county and all major agricultural activities and should be able to handle the program in a most satisfactory manner. |
