W. J. Branson and his grandson, Ray King, of Salt Lake City visited here Friday night with his daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Leo Trinnaman and fam ily. Mrs. Trinnaman and two children, Marta and Billie, accompanied accom-panied them to Midway and visited Saturday and Sunday with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. George Bonner. ,The F. F. A. boys and the S. I. O. club of the local high school sponsored spon-sored a program and dancing party last Friday. Both were very successful. The F. F. A. boys are from the Agricultural Agricul-tural department and the S. I. G. club Is composed of girls from the Home Economics department of the high school. Last Friday evening a double birthday dinner was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Richardson, Rich-ardson, honoring the birthday anniversaries an-niversaries of Mr. Richardson and Harold Mangum. Present at the affair were Mr. and Mrs. Richardson Richard-son and their three daughters, Pauline, Clynell and Billie Jean. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mangum and daughters, Leah and Mary, and son, Jerry, Mr. and Mrs. Lehi Carlton and sons, Lloyd and Leo, and Mr. F. F. Childers. After the dinner surprise party honored the two men. The evening was delightfully spent in progressive card games. Present at "this affair were Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Carlton, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Carlton of Draper, Mr. and Mrs. William Christiansen. Jerry Mangum, Man-gum, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mangum Man-gum and Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Richardson. High School News While playing ' basketball during the last period Monday, Miss Con-der Con-der injured her ankle. She was Immediately Im-mediately taken to the hospital for treatment. An examination showed no bones were broken, although it was a very bad sprain. Some ligaments liga-ments were torn loose. The costume committee of the Booster Club, had a preview of their dresses, Thursday, November 14. Tuesday, November 19, Doris Eaton Mason gave a talk to the students on sculpture. "June in January," Senior High Play, is beginning to be rehearsed. Much work and effort will be needed need-ed to have the play ready for presentation pre-sentation in December. Thirty F. F. A. boys went to Og-den Og-den Saturday, November 9 to participate par-ticipate in the livestock show. A Bouncer Club has been organized organ-ized to assist in keeping order in the halls. It consists of the following fol-lowing people: Robert Austin, Betty Christofferson, Dorthy Bremer, Eugene Eu-gene Strasburg, Joe Davis, Mirl Trinnaman, Leo Adams and Yvonne Ash. The Sig Club held their first scheduled meeting November 18. The Booster Club went to Richfield Rich-field last Saturday to boost for the Lehi team. They report a nice trip though very depressing at the last. The ceiling and some of the machinery ma-chinery in the shop received a very much needed coat of paint. Monday, November 18, a representative repre-sentative from the Woodbury College, Col-lege, L. B. Conner, addressed the student body on "Vocations." The Sig's and F. F. A.'s held their Thanksgiving dance Friday, November No-vember 15. Keith Smith was the lucky winner of a turkey.
