Show BYU coach sets surgery is almost unbearable. He's been in Denver this week attending the annual an-nual meetings of the National Basketball Coaches Association, which was held in conjunction with the Final Four Tournament of the National Basketball Championships. PROVO - The first season of the Roger Reid era at BYU is now history and it marks one of the most incredible seasons of basketball basket-ball ever for the Cougars. Now it's time for Reid to enter LDS Hopsital in Salt Lake City for an operation which will replace both hip joints. Reid will undergo surgery on Friday, April 13, and the likeable mentor will remain hospitalized 10 to 12 days, according accor-ding to Dr. Kent Samuelson, who will lead the team of surgeons. While hospitalized, Reid in his first year as head coach at BYU will have plenty of time to reflect on the success and memories of this past season. But until then, he is still actively on the job with the use of crutches crut-ches to walk and suffering pain that |
