Show PIONEER RESIDENT OF BEAVER CO: DIES William Henry 'Farnsworth, 75, prominent business man and church worker of Beaver died at the family residence Saturday at 10:30 a. m. of pneumonia, after only a few days' illness. ill-ness. Mr. Farnsworth was born March 7, 1856, at Fillmore, a son of Philo, Taylor Tay-lor and Margaret Yates Farnsworth. When very young, the family moved mov-ed to Beaver county where he resided most of the time since. He married Harriet Shepherd on June 4, 1879. He filled an L. D. S. mission to England and Scotland in 1887. Mr. Farnsworth had been prominent promi-nent in business circles. He was sup-perintendent sup-perintendent of the Co-op store for many years; superintendent of Beaver Beav-er Woolen mills; superintendent of the Mansfield-Murdock Mercantile store, and superintendent of the Horn Silver Mine store at Frisco. He was an L. D. S. church worker, having been clerk of the high council and secretary of priesthood quorums. Besides his widow, he is survived by five sons and daughters; Karl Farnsworth, Salt Lake; Mrs. Editha F. Orr, Las Vegas, Nev.; Myrtle F. Christiansen, Provo; Yates Farnsworth, Farns-worth, San Francisco, and Miss Hat-tie Hat-tie Farnsworth, Beaver; 20 grandchildren; grand-children; one brother and three sisters: sis-ters: Reuben Farnsworth and Mrs. E. Mansfield, Salt Lake; Miss Ali Farnsworth, New York, and Mrs. Caroline Murdock, Beaver. n |
