' ' Mrs Effie Winn returned to her home this week after spend, ing two months visiting in Rex-burg Rex-burg Idaho at the home of her ' daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Labrum. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brisbin and family, who spent the summer months in Calif, where Mr. Brisbin was employed, have moved back to their farm. The Tippets who are living on their niace have moved in with Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Emerson. Mr Bernard Larsen and son, Roger made a trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Simper were visitors at Bennett last Sunday, where Mr. Simper was a speaker. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, who has been in Salt Lake City for sometime has returned and is now at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jenkins. They report that ' Mrs. Jenkins is much improved since her operation. Last Tuesday was work day in Relief Society but not many were present in the forenoon. One quilt was finished and another an-other one was put on. A pot-luck pot-luck lunch was enjoyed at noon. Mrs. Raymond Eldredge was J on the sick list lqst week, she Z took ill while working in the B school lunch room at Roosevelt. School was dismissed at noon I last Thursday and the teachers spent the afternoon visiting the Ssul district taking sni" MrSi Wallace Johnson and family 0f Bountiful were dinner guests at the home of Mr LMTS- enda11 Johnso as Sunday. Their daughter Pat was with them. She has been a polio' victim for a long time John Witbeck and Red Henderson Hen-derson of Corona, Calif, and Merrill and Rube Witbeck of Magna were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Squire during deer season. George Bracken acted as head custodian at Union High School several days last week, while Dick Scholes was in Sajt Lake City receiving medical care Mr. and Mrs. Loren Bowen and family have moved from Measer, to Alterra and are living in the Stella LaRose home Mr. and Mrs. Ray Westwood and two sons of Rangely, Colo visited at the home of Mrs. Westwood's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Cook, last Sun. Mrs. Reva Hall and Mrs. Ellen El-len Bracken went to Naples last Thursday to' attend a meeting meet-ing for the cooks of the school lunch program. Mrs. Gladys Brunken , of Eugene, Eu-gene, Oregon is visiting her mother Mrs. Effie Winn and her sister Mrs. Earl Gardner, also the Boyd Winns and Frank Winns. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Cook have returned recently from Tuscon, Arizona where they had spent two weeks visiting at the home of Mrs. Cook's son. Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Pool of Salt Lake City accompanied the Elton Kettles and the Glen Stanleys on -a trip deer hunting. hunt-ing. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Neilson and daughter from Salt Lake City are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Asay. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Benson from Hyrum were here to enjoy deer hunting. Mrs. Benson is a sister of Mrs. Leland Angus and the Benson's daughter stayed at the Angus home while her parents were away. The 10-day infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brighton took seriously ill on Sunday morning and was rushed to the hospital at Roosevelt. At this writing it was somewhat improved. Mrs. Brighton was staying with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken are the proud grandparents of their 18th grandchild as a baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Duane Bracken on Monday morning. Friends in Ballard were very grieved to read of the death of Albert Rasmussen at his home in Salt Lake City. The Rasmus-sens Rasmus-sens -were pioneers of the Basin and had many friends in Ballard. Bal-lard. We extend our sympathy to the widow and family. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jenkins and family attended the wedding wed-ding of one of Mrs. Jenkins brothers in Vernal last week. |
