Alfred Cherry entertained a number num-ber of his friends at a birthday party Friday evening at his home. Games, music and sonars in connection with delicious refreshments refresh-ments made merry the evening. Besides Be-sides the host were present the following: fol-lowing: Beulah Anderson Eula and Rhoda Jorftensen, Kate Ericksen Croit Larson, Adella Seely. and Ernest Staker. Eva Ericksen and Arcilee Burnett entertained at. the home of the former for-mer Wednesday evening- of last weeK. A delightful luncheon was served and a pleasant evening spent. Miss Florence Monsen went to Payson Thursday to attend birthday party in honor of the birthday of Owen Mieling. She returned Sunday and reports m r visit and especially the party exceptionally pleasant. The social given Wednesday evening even-ing at the t3oa.ii Ward meetinghouse meeting-house under tne auspices of 1 he Sunday Schools officers ami teachers was unusady good and the games, songs and refreshments downstairs furnished amusement and enjoyment for ail. A large crowd was present and a sum of $35.00 contributed lo the Sunday School for new song-books, song-books, etc. The dancing party at the Armory Hall given Friday evening for the benefit of Arthur NHson who is on a mission in Sweden was very successful. suc-cessful. The net receipts oF the dance were $66 20. A large crowd was prese'nt and every one in unusal good humor. Mrs. J. C. Jordan was given a pleasant surprise by a number of her friends and relatives calling upon her at her home unexpectedly last Saturday evening in honor of the 50th anniversary of her birth. The time was most delightfully spent in card playing, and music. A most xcellent luncheon was served at 12 o'clock and a sumptuous breakfast break-fast at 4 o'clock, after which the party broke up, everyone expressing themselves as having had a time never nev-er to be forgotten. Those present: Messrs and Mesdames John Reynolds John F. Olson, P. H. Madsen C. H. Eatinger, Lon Madsen, I. E. Jorgen-son, Jorgen-son, Mrs. A. Rolph, Mrs. J. F. Mcintosh, Mc-intosh, Miss Effie Rolph, Eugene Rolph, Hyrum Anderson and host and hostess. Miss Irene Rolfson entertained Saturday evening in honor of the 20th anniversary of her birth. Refreshments Re-freshments were served and a pleasant pleas-ant evening spent. |
