Percy Nelson, employed at the Hwal-hwz Hwal-hwz Acres at Marysvale, was a visitor in Gunnison Wednesday and Thursday uf this week. Iioss Bradford, representing the Pembroke company, engravers and printers, Salt Lake, spent Wednesday in Gunnison in the interests of his company. Mimi Edna Nelson, who will take up a buiinegs course, will leave for Salt Lake the first of the coming week. Miss Nelson will enter the L. D. S. business college. Mi:is Virginia Peterson has returned to Salt Lake after the summer vacation. Miss Peterson will resume her studies in vocal culture and in addition will tuke special work in studies at the University of Utah. Miss LuDeen Christensen left for the north the early days of this week. Mi. Christensen will make a brief stay in Suit Lake after which she will go to Id iho Falls where she will make an extended ex-tended visit with Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Chirk. Micheal Jensen returned to his home in Gunnison last Saturday after spending spend-ing a greater portion of the summer visiting with his daughters, Mrs. D. Sinter and Mrs. J. II. Fine, at Eureka, Nevada. Mrs. Fine and her daughter, Helen, accompanied Mr. Jensen to Gunnison, Gun-nison, and they expect to make an extended ex-tended visit here. Enruote home Mr. Jensen and Mrs. Fine visited in Salt Lake, Eureka, Utah and other point. W. Harvey Ross, pesident of the Gunnison Gun-nison Valley Sugar company, was here several days this week on an official visit to the factory, Frank Christensen left for Salt Lake Wednesday morning. He will register at the University of Utah for the coming com-ing fall and winrer session. Miss Vera Pratt, who has been the j guest of her sister, Mrs. Julius Duggins I for a week or more, returned to her j home at Provo last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. June Metcalf, who have been absent in California for the past three weeks or. a honeymoon trip, returned re-turned to Gunnison last Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Metcalf will occupy the David Olson residence. Rev. Reussell Woltz will hold the regular semi-monthly service at the Presbyterian chapel next Sunday evening. even-ing. Rev. Woltz will use as his subject, "Miracles of Christ." Services will begm at 8 o'clock and a cordial invitation invita-tion is extended to all. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Tuft, who spent several days at the Sevier county fair, and after visiting with the family of Hans Tuft at Monroe, have returned to Gunnison. Mr. Tuft is high in his praise of the Sevier county fair and he credits it with being the best ever held in that county. Mrs. George V. Schramm, Miss Ellen Schramm and Miss Dolly Cunningham, were motor passengers from Salt Lake yesterday. The party will remain here over Snnday.as the house guests of Manager S. R. Schramm and Mrs. Schramm at the Grand Tiew Hotel at the sugar factory. |
