"And I thought we got over it even though it was a bad tragedy. I think that's pretty cool. I just like to draw and I thought this competition was good because it was about America and diversity." Peterson said she often hears comments from school administrators who say events like the art contest give students who may struggle in other academic fields an opportunity to demonstrate their talent.
