Show Obituary. American Fork, July 3d, 1873. Editors Herald: This morning wc are called upon to mourn the loss of one of our most respected citizens Mr. Thos. Wrig-lcy. Wrig-lcy. Elder Wrigley was born in Bfirmby, ne;ir Doneaster, Yorkshire, England, on the 23d of February, 1816. Was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in January, 18-42; emigrated to America in October of the same year; went up to Xauvoo on the 12th of April. 1S43. In April, 1811, his fnmily came to him in St. Louis, where he presided over the Latter-day Saints in that district for some time, previous to coming to Utah, where he arrived with his family in September, 1832. Was appointed President of the 36th quorum of Seventies on April 7th, I 1S.33. In November of the same year he went Af a missionary lo assist in , building up Fort Supply. Moved to American Fork October -"th, 8o4, where he has since resided. J e was the first clerk in the co-operative store of tins place, which position he filled until he found the'busincss was injuring his health.
