Three missionaries from the Gunnison Stake will arrive at the airport from their missions on the same day; Elder David Crane, Elder Jordan Caldwell and Elder Jason Jensen all return home June 30th. Elder Crane is the son of Shawn and Jan Crane. By LYBERTY PETERSON The first week of June, Weber State University held its annual Utah Boys' State— a week long summer program based on how to understand and operate politics. It's considered an honor to attend Boys' State and Gunnison Valley High School juniors, Chad Boore and Spencer Agren were able to receive this honor. They headed up Monday morning to find that "there were no girls at Boys State," as Chad stated. The boys were divided into different cities. The cities were then divided into political parties, and soon after the elections started. First are inner city elec- Spencer Agren Chad Boore tions: a mayor, councilmen an attorney, and legislative representatives. Same thing happens for district and state elections. Both boys campaigned. Agren received party chairs in both city and county. He was also city judge and a state delegate. Boore acquired city councilmen, county delegate, and county attorney.
