Show Provo. Captain R. R. Hopkins, of Provo, stepped up yesterday evening, even-ing, aud we were pleased to see his genial countenance. He says the new factory of which President Smoot laid the foundation stone on May 28th, is progressing rapidly, a large force of workmen being engaged on it. The factory will be a fine concern, running 2,500 spindles. The grasshoppers have left there, and the prospects for a crop yet in Utah county are good, better than in this county. The people of Provo are feeling well and pitching in for improvement, determined de-termined to show their appreciation of grasshoppers and so-called '"hard times," by building, improving and beautifying. That's right, and will always win. Capt. H. runs the co-operative store in Provo, and ia doing good business |
