Show Draft Boards Report Amusing Stories Draftees wishing to evade acceptance accept-ance and in many cases, though unfitted, un-fitted, desiring to serve, sometimes color their stories in accordance with their desire. Here are some of the little dramas being enacted daily over the country. One man up before his board was very small of stature. Addressing trie man at the table who was sitting, sit-ting, the potential "cannon fodder" stood and pounded the table with great vigor. "I won't go. you will have to exempt ex-empt me. I'll fight before I'll go." The one at the table lost his ordinarily or-dinarily well-kept patience. He arose and rolled up his sleeves. The c.f. looked at his six-foot frame of muscle, which he had not noticed before, it being wrapped around the table legs, and quickly a smile creased his face. |
