UTAH Enters Sheep For Livestock Show Jerry Buchanan, member of the Bear River high school Future Farmer chapter, will enter eight or nine head of Hamp-shirand Southdowns in the fat lamb classes of the 28th annual Osdeij livestock show, to be es held November 2 to 6, Jerry is no novice as livestock show exhibitor, for he has taken part in the Ogden expositions durinj the past four years. Hid Woollies will be placed in contests with other lambs raised by Future Farmer and Four-I- I club members from points throughout the lntermountain country. Prizes at stake for boys and girls who enter their cattle, Sheep and hogs in the Junior Department totals $7000 In cash in addition to many valuable awards sponsored by the stock show and livestock organizations. All fat stock, both In the junior and open classes, will be Judged according to the U. S. grading system, and premium money awarded on a poundage basis. In the case of fat lambs, the show will pay five cents a pound for lambs grading to prime, and two cents a pound for those grading to choice. Last day for mailing entry notices to the show is October 15. The Bear River hich school has several times been at the Ogden show by F. F. A. boys who have won highest awards on the list.
