Show Reese J. Davis' To Ob serve Golden Wedding Here Mr. and Mrs. Reese J. Davis of Preston will observe their Golden Wedding anniversary here onv Sunday, Sun-day, January 12 at an open house reception- at their home on East Oneida. They will receive guests from 2 until V p. m. Mr. and Mrs. Davis were married m Preston on, January 13, 1S91 by Justice! of the Peace J. C. Greaves at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kershaw, parents of the bride. Mr. Davis was bora June 24, 1870 in Wales, and Mrs. Davis was born September 28, 1870 in England. Eng-land. Both emmigrated to Cache Valley with their parents in 1880 becoming pioneer residents of this community. Mr. and Mrs. Davis went to Montana shortly after their marriage mar-riage where Mr. Davis was an engineer en-gineer on the Great Northern railway rail-way until July of 1937 when he retired re-tired after 43 years' service. They have since again made their home in Preston. Among those who will honor the couple at the family dinner on Monday will be Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cutler of Preston, Mr. and Mrs. Reese J. Davis of Twin Falls Mr and Mrs. J. C. Hutchins of Ogden, and Mrs. Adeline Foster of Preston.' The couple have 17 grandchildren grandchil-dren and 6, great-grandchidren. |
