Miss Ada Johnson of Richmond, Utah, was , a special guest' MUSICAL HELD' AT GEORGE PAULL HOME Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Lundquist entertained at a musical last Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Paull. Farris Edgley. music director of the Carbon Car-bon college at Price, Utah, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Paull, sang several vocal solos and Mr. Lundquist, local lo-cal director, accompanied by Mr. Edgley, played several selections. Dainty refreshments were served to a large number of invited guests. WELCOME HOME PARTY AT MINK CREEK FRIDAY A welcome home party will be held In honor of Elder Lionel Keller, Kel-ler, son ot Mr. and Mrs. Adam Keller in the Mink Creek ward amusement hall Friday, January 10. The Merlin Smith orchestra will furnish the music and the public is invited. Pi RIDGE CLU B MEETS AT; CONINE HOME Mrs. A. C. Conine entertained her bridge club associates at a party last Thursday evening at her home. A dessert luncheon was served at 7:30 with chrysanthemums chrysanthe-mums used for decorating the serving table. Mrs. Joe Malmberg won high score and Mrs. H. B. Sternberg the consolation prize. Mrs. Jesse Packard was a s-pecial guest. PINOCHLE PARTY AT SINCLAIR HOME Mr. and Mrs. George Sinclair entertained en-tertained at a pinochle party laot Saturday evening. A thrse-course dinner was served at 7:30 for twelve guests. Poinsettas were used for the centerpiece. Prize scores went to Mr. and Mrs. Har- old Olsen, high, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malmberg, consolation. MRS. BRIGHT CLUB HOSTESS Mrs. Ray Bright was hostess for the Gratia club last Thursday afternoon aft-ernoon at the Club cafe. Dinner was served at 1:30. Red carnations were used for a centerpiece and favors and place cards were in red and silver. Prize scores went to Mrs. George Paull, high and Mrs. S. E. Nelson, low. FIRESIDE HELD AT SECOND WARD A large crowd attended the Fireside Fire-side given at the Second ward 'Church house last Sunday evening following sacrament meeting. Gunner Gun-ner Rasmussen of Logan presented pictures in technicolor of the early scenes of Church history. The set-' set-' ting for most of them was in the Sacred Grove, Hill Cumorah, Nau-voo Nau-voo and New, York City. The pro gram was under the direction of the M-Men and Gleaner- Girls. Alvin Davis, local sports enthusiast enthusi-ast has moved to Logan where he has purchased interest in the new Duck Pin Bowling alley. He intends in-tends moving his family", soon, o o |
