Show U S department of weather bureau bulletin no 22 of the utah weather and crop service week ending tuesday morning september 4 1894 geo N salisbury y weather bureau director salt lake city utah the weather was warm during the early part of the week past but after heavy beavy showers on friday and Sa saturday it turned much cooler harvesting in the lato late valleys was much hindered and considerable uncut grain was laid down by wind and rain threshing was genera generally ily delayed and considerable hay bay both wild and lucerne was waa spoiled or damaged the drying of fruit was also interfered with in the south the rains were quite heavy corn and potatoes have been much bene fitted by the rains corn is generally ready to cut in tho warmer sections some cutting has been done in the higher valleys it needs two weeks more oj of good weather to mature corn largo quantities of potatoes are being shipped east the sugar beets in utah county are now ready for digging on tho the stock ranges the feed has become excellent |
