Show LATEST TELEGRAMS t a nteruational Railroad Albany 21 The articles of association asso-ciation of the Mexican Oriental InterOceanic international railroad rail-road company have been received by the secretary of state and laid before the governor for approval The articles state that June 7th 1881 a contract was entered into between Mexico and the International Inter-national Railroad Improvement Compay granting certain rights and powers and subsidies in aid of the construction and operation opera-tion of railroad and telegraphic branches within the republic of Mexico The contract provides that said rights and powers could be transferred to one or more companies com-panies which might be organized for that purpose The International Railway Improvement Company does not contemplate the maintenance mainten-ance and operation of the railroad and telegraphic lines but only the construction of the same for other companies or individuals the state of New York having expressly authorized the incorporation of companies for permanent maintain ance of railroads and telegraph lines beyond the limits of the United States J Gould Russell Sage Sydney Syd-ney Dillon Norm Green John F Dillon Thos T Eckert M Dodge of New York U S Grant Greenville Green-ville and Francis Degrass of Mexico Mexi-co with others haye formed the abovenamed company The road is to commence at a point on the Rio Grande between Laredo and Reynosa continuing south between longitude 1 degree west and 2 east of meridian of Mexico touch at San bernado and Santander to finish with a branch road to Crudal Victoria Vic-toria to be extended as far as San Luis Po with branches to Mata moras and the bar of Jesus Maria in case this point should be opened to coasting and foreign trade The trunk lines shall continue from San tander Jiminesh to the City of Mexico by the most convenient ascent to the table lands and may continue from there to a point on the Pacific Coast The main line may divide or branch off before its assent to the table lands passing by Papanthy and Nieganti with its terminus in Vera Cruz and with branches to Marina Lampico Luxpau and Gecolutha The capital capi-tal stock is placed at 25000000 divided di-vided into 25000 shares of 51000 each The above named persons are to act as a board of directors Jay Gould takes 100 shares Sidney Dillon 100 Russell Sage 100 Thos F Dillon 100 Amos Hoskins 100 Thos T Eckert 100 Norvin Green 100 Thos W Pearsall 100 U S Grant 100 and Francis Degrass 100I I |
