Show Hcnricvillg Hews By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 The weather has been very strange the past week snow storm one day and Spring the next. Can't make its mind up. Nicki Barker daughter of Mike and Karin Barker, received her advancement pin, graduating from Primary into LDS Young Women. Gail Miles and Layne LeFevre were called to serve on the Escalante Stake High Council. Released were Jerry Pollock and Lonnie Pollock. Lauren Patterson, infant daughter of Keith and Deanna Patterson, was blessed and given her name by Travis LeFevre. Several friends from out of town were in attendance. Clayton and Heather Johnson were sealed in the St. George LDS temple on Saturday. Their son Tell was sealed to his parents. Great-grandmother Great-grandmother Iris Bushnell attended as well as grandparents Jeff and Kim Johnson. Cyle came from Provo. Cailee was celebradng her birthday . Keela Mangum and Crystal Mortensen came along with Bishop Ernie Henderson and wife Wynona, President Klin Chyno-weth Chyno-weth and wife Nancy, Heather's grandparents George and Cleo Naylor of Salt Lake City, dad Terry Naylor of Cedar City, and her aunt Barbara Crouse. Several local folks attended the state boys basketball tournament in Cedar City. They played really great and advanced in the tournament after a double overtime, losing to Panguitch by only two points. Cody Mortensen has been a member of the Mustangs. We are very proud of our boys and their efforts. Guy and Beverly Thompson have been in Hawaii with their son Guy and his wife Rachel . They saw the new LDS temple which was recently, dedicated and visited the Parker Ranch. It is the largest privately owned ranch. Their daughter Rachel Breit and son were here from Las Vegas for a visit. Heidi Thompson was in Salt Lake City to receive her Aspire Scholarship and attend a luncheon honoring the recipients. Ernie and Wynona Henderson were at he St. George LDS temple with Derrick Pollock and Laura Pierson where they received their endowments prior to their marriage. Their parents . and many : . other family members and friends also attended. The Hendersons visited Bernice Jolley who is a temple worker. Logann Marx of Springville and friend Liz Jacobs of Eagle Mountain were visitors at the Ernie Hendersons. Liz, who is going on a mission to Warsaw, Poland, loved the beautiful Bryce Valley area Bob and Helen Willis were able to attend the Regional basketball games in Richfield but Helen has been down with a bad back the past few days. Carla and Martin Ramsay and family came and prepared Sunday dinner and we hope she'll be up and around soon. While on their way home from St. George, Jeff and Kim Johnson met Jeffs sister and brother-in-law Valerie and Steve King, Spanish Fork, in K-Mart. Bonnie and Jerry Mecham of Green River were at the state tournament to cheer their team on. Bonnie and Wynona got caught up on the latest news. Nolan Johnson and family also were there. We also had a good visit with Janet Evans. Nathan and Lori Piatt and family were in Las Vegas visiting Lori's grandparents. Rae Smith was in Cedar City with son Jim where they were part of the family and friends on the court to honor her brother Dewey Woolsey for his 50 years of being a loyal fan and supporter of athletics. Dewey lives in Bicknell. |
