Show Brewers Association To Mark Birthday The one hundredth anniversary anniver-sary of the United States Brewers Brew-ers Association will be observed at the annual meeting of the Association's As-sociation's Utah Division at the Newhouse Hotel on Friday, April 27, John C. Campbell, Director, announced today. The meeting will be attended by brewers, brewery representatives and malt beverage wholesalers throughout the state. Among the speakers scheduled to appear on the program are: Mr. Robert C. Dalton, Director, Field Services Department, New York City, and Mr. Sidney B.. Moeur, Western District Director, Direc-tor, Phoenix, Arizona. A special features of the centennial cen-tennial celebration will be the showing of the Association's new color film, "The Brewers' Heritage," Heri-tage," which traces the history of beer and brewing in the United Unit-ed States from the time of the Pilgrims' arrival on the Mayflower May-flower to the industry's present position among the country's leading industries. The United States Brewers Association, As-sociation, whose members produce pro-duce eighty per cent of the malt beverages brewed in the country is the nation's oldest incorporated incorporat-ed trade association. Its Utah Division, established in 1957, cooperates co-operates with licensing officials and law enforcement authorities in the maintenance of wholesome conditions surrounding the sale of the malt beverages. The first national park reservation, reser-vation, Yellowstone, was set aside by Congress in 1872. |
