On the second day, though, the Utes warmed up substantially, scoring 119 points to place them first for the day. The dramatic turnaround gave them 205.5 Points overall vaulting them into second place behind Denver's 212 points. J Colorado is third at 203, New Mexico fourth with and 194 points AlaskaAnchorage rounds out the top five with 146.5 points. Western States o, Col- lege and Montana State all trail by a wide margin. Sierra Nevada does not receive points because it is not an NCAA Division-- I school. In the women's slalom, Sherry again led the way, placing fourth overall in a time of 1:40.03. Kavcic and Lawrence were 10th and nth, respectively, finishing in 1:41.18 and 1:41.25. Kuehni was 18th overall, finishing in 1:44.33. The men also had a performance in the giant slalom. Despite Woodland's and Shaffer's unfinished runs, the men pulled it together. Forsyth placed fourth in a time of 1:59.74 while Leunig came in fifth in 2:00.07.
