Show Faun Thomson Faun Maurine Douglas Thomson, Thom-son, 82 passed away May 4, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nev., where she has spent the last several years. She was born on Dec. 9, 1916 in Ephraim, Utah to Edwin & Mary Ann Green Douglas. She married Robert Reed Thomson Thom-son on Nov. 27, 1939 in Ephraim, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the St. George LDS Temple. Faun was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as ward chorister and choir director. She was an active member of the Lady Lions for many years. Faun loved to sing and travel, and visited many different differ-ent places around the world. She also loved to be with her family and go to the cabin on the mountain. Faun is. survived by her children, chil-dren, Jeff (Mary Ann) Thomson, Barbara (Douglas) Haycock, Susan (Robert) Swan, all of Las Vegas; Charlotte Mitchell of Cedar City, and Laurel (Bryce) Peterson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. 4 I i I ' I I 1 Faun Thomson She was preceded in death by her husband, Reed; brother, Spencer Douglas; and sister, Thelma Clark. Funeral services were held Friday, Fri-day, May 7, in Cedar City. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery. Funeral directors: Southern Utah Mortuary, Cedar City. LaFaun Hatch Pollock TROPIC - LaFaun Hatch Pollock, Pol-lock, 76, of Tropic, received the greatest mother's day present her children could imagine. She passed through the veil to her loving husband, hus-band, son and other family members mem-bers on May 9, 1999, in Panguitch. - She was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Tropic, to John H. Jr. and Ethel Reynolds Hatch. She married Virgil Pollock, Oct. 16, 1943, in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death, June 3, 1989. She loved life, family, quilting and the time she was able to work for the Garfield County School District as an assistant in the Special Spe-cial Education department. The children she worked with will al-I al-I ways be a bright star in her life. I She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, brothers and z sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13, 1999 at 1 p.m. in the Tropic LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Tropic Cemetery.
