A reception was held in their honor the following evening at Ivy Lane Reception Center in Ogden. The bride is the daughter of Ray and Sandy Walker of Huntsville. The bridegroom is the son of Amber Will of Marsing, Idaho. The bride is a graduate of Weber High School and LDS Seminary. She is employed with ARW Engineers in Farr West and attends Weber State University, majoring in dental hygiene. The bridegroom is a graduate of Marsing High School in Marsing, Idaho. He is employed with HC Brill in Farr West and attends WSU, studying premedicine The new couple will live in North Ogden after their honeymoon cruise to the Mexican Riviera. View more listings at www. —— —~ oa Sister Lindsay Beddes Sister Lindsay Beddes has returned from serving in the California San Fernando Spanish-speaking Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is the daughter of Vern and Sharon Beddes of Liberty. She will speak in the Liberty Ist Ward at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2005. Junior “J.C.” Bailey, beloved husband of Jean Bailey (nee Lee) of Barnwell, Alberta, Canada, passed away, surrounded by his i y loved, on Thursday, January 13, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Besides his loving wife Jean, J.C. is survived by his son Richard (Sandra), his daughter Cathy (Tom) Dove, his daughter Brenda (Ren) Hales, his son Doug (Kendra), his daughter Kristy (Phil) Wilson, and his on Jordan (Heather); 23 grandchildren; and his brothers Larry, Quinn, Eugene and Sherman. He was predeceased by his parents Lysle and Viola Bailey and his mother and father-in-law Dill and Vera Lee. .C. was born on October 12, 1934 to Viola and W. Lysle Bailey in Ogden, Utah. He spent his childhood days in Liberty, Utah working with his family on the farm and hunting and hiking among the mountains he loved so much. He attended a one room elementary school, Huntsville Junior High School, and then graduated from Weber High School in 1952. On July 22, 1959 he married Jean Lee in the Cardston Alberta Temple. They had six children and he was a devoted husband and father. Dad spent countless hours playing baseball, basketball, and hocky with his children. He went on many camping trips and family vacations with his children, even after they were married and had their own families. He graduated in 1961 from Brigham Young University with a degree in Industrial Arts Education. He began his teaching career in Utah but moved to Barnwell, Alberta to accept a position at W.R. Myers High School in 1964, retiring in 1991 after 27 years of service in the Taber School Division. He loved working on his 20 acre farm. He grew sweet corn, which he sold in Calgary, Alberta; milked cows; raised beef cattle; and had a beautiful garden. He always had horses which he and his family enjoyed riding. C. was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From 1955-1957 he served as a missionary in the Western Canadian Mission. He and his wife served a church service mission in Ogden, Utah from 1998-1999. One of his favorite callings was as a temple worker in the Cardston Temple. Despite his poor health, he continued to serve there faithfully. J.C. was an avid sports fan. As a child he loved to play baseball with his brothers and on various teams. He was a regular at W.R. Myers High School basketball games and coached many young people in basketball and baseball. Despite his cancer, he made many trips and fulfilled one of his lifelong dreams by taking a fishing trip to Alaska. He continued to work on his house and farm and had many other projects planned. Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber, Alberta, Canada on January 16, 2005 also at the church on January 17. Funeral services were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barnwell, Alberta, Canada on Monday, January 17, 2005 with Bishop Marty Johnson conducting. Interment followed at the Barnwell Cemetery. Smith Malcolm Stanley Smith, age 65, passed away after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer on January 18, 2 We all admired his strength aad willpower throughout his life. If you could survive on willpower alone, he would have outlived us all. e was born in Portland, Maine on October 19, 1939 to jenn Stanley Smith and Arline Francis Jack Sm He graduated in 1958 from Kent Hill Preparatory School. He joined the Coast Guard in 1958 and proudly served our country until 1964. He married Karen Lee Harbertson on September 17, 1966, they were later divorced. He had many occupations including working as a stagehand for many Hollywood TV shows such as Joey Bishop, Smothers Brothers, Mamas & Papas, Carol Burnett Show, and other theatrical productions. He then moved to Huntsville, Utah were he managed the Red Rock Café in Southern Fork Canyon. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad, and the Internal Revenue Service. He medically retired in 1989. He was a proud member of the Ogden FOE #2472, and a dedicated member of the American Legion Post #129 where he served as a member of the honor guard. He had an immense love for his children and grandchildren. We will always have a great memory of him driving his truck with the dogs riding in the back. The saying, “A dog is a Man’s Best Friend” Robert L. Hadley Together Forever Robert L. Hadley, 88, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died January 15, 2005, at his home surrounded by warmth and love of his fami He was born May 16, 1916 in "Ogden, Utah to Lorenzo and Verda Meacham Hadley. He married Elsie May Pratt in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 6, 1939. She preceded him in death in 1997. He was a ranch hand with his father during his teen years. He worked as a glazer at Bennett and Moyes Glass Companies before retiring. He was active in the Ogden 4th Ward, and served in many positions and callings. He loved the outdoors, loved riding his bicycle, and faking long drives to visit family and friends loved spending quality time with his layed ones telling stories of his youth. He will be loved and missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
