Show TUCKER GOING TO WASHINGTON City Judge Will Represent County in Reclamation Project Hearing. j Judge James B. Tucker has been j requested by the Provo Chamber of I Commerce and Utah County Central ( committee of the Utah Lake Itecla-I Itecla-I mation project to go to Washington, I D. C, to assist the Utah delegation in clearing upu all matters pertaining pertain-ing to the project. It is believed by the men in the project that in order to hasten the j decision of the reclamation service as to recommending the project to congress, it will be better to have a man thoroughly familiar with all ore t a n3pvrt ;:i nTTigto t-hc rjt ; work in close co-operation with the reclamation service bureau and with j the Utah delegation. I Arrangements are now being made .' with the Provo city commission to j give Judge Tucker a leave of ab . sence from his duties as judge of ! the Provo city court, so that he can go to Washington. Both the chamber cham-ber of commerce and the central committee realize that no one is better bet-ter acquainted with the proposed j project than is Judge Tucker. The following telegram has been I sent by the Provo Chamber of Com-' Com-' merce to Senator Reed Smoot ask- ing his advice concerning sondinsr n J man to Washington to look after the j interest of the lake landowners : "Provo Chamber of Commerce and farmers of Utah county feel it would be decided help to Utah's representatives rep-resentatives in Washington if complicated com-plicated facts surrounding proposed I reclamation project were explained by man in Washington. We have I made arrangements to send ri-pro-' sentative familiar with all facts, j When should he come? Please wire if urgent." |
