Seventy-Fifth Birthday Noted by Woman's Athenaeum Club The Woman's Athenaeum Club of Park City is now 75 years old! The president-elect of the Utah State Federation of Women's Wo-men's Clubs was a guest at the' celebration Monday, February 28 when all but one club member mem-ber was in attendance. Atnenaeum president, Mrs. Paul Hamilton introduced Mrs. Golden Robbins of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Ben Bagley, president pres-ident of the Salt Lake District Club. Mrs. Robbins told of her work in the Federation over a period of 25 years and stressed the importance im-portance of club participation. She gave a resume of Federation work telling of the Better Environment En-vironment program that is the project of the General Federation Federa-tion the parent groups of all federated clubs in the United States. After a dinner prepared and served by the ladies of the Park City L.DJ3. Church, Mrs. Hamilton Ham-ilton spoke of the importance of preparing for the future which requires organization. Mrs. Vernon Moon and Mrs. Mark Simmons gave Toasts to the Future; Mrs. Clements Hansen Han-sen read Washington's prayer as a conclusion to the evening. Diamonds, denoting 75 years, were used in decorations a small brilliant on a tiny orchid corsage as well as a place card decorated with a "diamond" was at each place and a beautiful cake in the shape of a 7 and a 5 graced the head table and later was enjoyed by all with ice cream as dessert. |
