Show 2 B DESERET NEWS, TUESDAY, JULY 19, PSC may delay hearing on MFS boos i The failure of Mountain Fuel Supply Co. to produce budget figures for Wexpro, a subsidiary, has raised the question of a further delay in the fuel companys hearing for a rate increase. The Utah Division of Public Utilities announced intent Monday to ask the Utah Public Service Commission (PSC) for a further delay until the figures are produced and studied. The fuel companys delay in providing the information also came under fire today from Utah Consumer Action Group (UCAG). liCAG officials held a press conference in the State Capitol to protest the utilitys failure to comply with a PSC order to produce the Wexpro information. Wayne Horrocks, a spokesman for the consumer advocacy group, told the Deseret News UCAG intends to push for full disclosure of the MFS subsidiary. The commission imposed a protective order that the budget not 'ik' revealed to third parties. According to the state division, however, the information has never been produced. Developers of a proposed apartment complex at 23r1 F.ast and loth South have the gn ahead now for construction. Salt I.akt County commissioners declined Monday to override the County Planning and Zoning Commission's approval of the project, which has drawn angry protests from neighborhood residents. County commissioners said the plans conform with regulations. Therefore, they said, they had no basis on which to refuse the developer a conditional-us- e permit required for construction. The debate over whether the apartments should be built has continued for more than a year. Cottonwood Heights residents originally succeeded in blocking the developenment. But developers later submitted amended plans, dropping the units on each acre from 23.9 to 20. The planning commission then recommended the permits to allow construction. Two Cottonwood Heights women in June produced documents linking connections between developer Bliss Parsons and Stanley Wade, the original developer. But Commissioner Pete Kutulas said Monday that no evidence existed to show a business deal between the two and his vote to allow the use permit was based on the assumption that no partnership between Parsons and Wade existed.
