Show SMALL POX. We are informed that there is now at Brigham City a case of fully developed small pox, the person afflicted with the dread malady having arrived from the north on the 10th inst. on one of the U. & N. Ry. trains. Every possible precaution should be taken by the proper officers to prevent the spread of this loathsome and fatal disease, and we respectfully call the attention of our city fathers to the matter, urging them to adopt precautionary measures at once. Logan and other cities and towns in this valley are exposed and small pox may be introduced and spread by men returning with their grading camps from points that have been exposed on the Oregon Short Line and elsewhere, as well as by those who, without the knowledge of the railroad officials, travel on the trains after having been exposed or actually afflicted with the disease as in the case referred to at Brigham City. |
